Chim-chim-chiree

A couple of days ago I listened to an interview on the radio with Dick Van Dyke, who recently released his memoir, My Lucky Life In and Out of Show Business. Of course he talked about Mary Poppins (here by Wintermoog). He said that Walt Disney called him and asked him to be in his movie after he said in an interview that there weren't enough family friendly movies and he wanted to be in more of those. He also mentioned that Walt was on the set of Mary Poppins every day of filming, as he saw the success of the film as being very important to the Disney corporation's financial well-being.
